I have a friend in marketing who says this is a ridiculous idea.

For the 30th and 31st of July 2022 (UK time), I am making four eBooks 100% free on Amazon. Two of them are mine, and you definitely don’t have them yet.

You don’t need a special account. You don’t need to do anything other than click the link and click to download.

There are no catches to this deal. Just be here July 30th and 31st. That’s it. You don’t need amazon prime or anything.

Each book has a UK and US amazon link for your convenience. Other territories should redirect from the US link. Comment if you need any help.

I’ve even added another 12 hours either side so people in different timezones don’t miss out, meaning it’s the 30th and 31st of July for you too.

Nice and easy.

Now, let’s introduce them all.

FALSE VACUUM

My debut on the poetry scene (if we discount the delirious comedy poems in WBTH). This Bowie-inspired poetry collection uses cosmic metaphor to explore my place in the universe, and also my place in night clubs and other people's kitchens at 3am. Lyrically following Numan, Pulp, and Bowie means that these poems fit well on stage or radio. Blue-shifting into my own humorous past, I hope to have created accessible, entertaining poetry here.

“I love these and I don’t even like poetry.” - Beta reader.

“I thought poetry was supposed to be boring. This is brilliant.” - Beta reader.

BRANCH DENSITY

False Vacuum's weird older brother, Branch Density shifts from Science to Sci-Fi, featuring weird cameos from my short stories and novels, such as Lax Morales. These are stories disguised as poems, red-shifting out into the surreal fictional universes of my novels and short stories. Both BD and FV will eventually be featured on Vinyl, once I am a bit more popular and can justify it.

“I loved the connectivity between these poems.” - Beta reader.

“Can’t believe you brought Lax back for a poem.” - Beta reader.

As a bonus feature for owners of both books, there is a central poem that changes its meaning and ending when you connect both False Vacuum and Branch Density together, creating a hybrid piece.

Paperbacks will launch early 2023. Vinyl late 2023.

52 WEEKS OF HORROR

It is what it says on the tin, 52 horror prompts for 52 horror stories. It also includes the occassional author check-in where you are asked questions that should help improve your writing process, and a neat guide for creating “Story Stars” that turn your storytelling into a visual aid for future worldbuilding.

You can really see my background in running a Writing society in this one. It’s worth getting if you’re a fellow writer. A lot of the prompts can work across multiple genres too (there’s a decent overlap into fantasy/scifi in parts).

OF SHADOWS, DEMONS, AND LOST BROTHERS

A dark and emotive YA novella about love, loss, and evil psychic tree demons. What more could you need?

I think that’s a pretty good write-up. It’s a fantastic book. Halfplanet Press was only taking on Sci-Fi and Poetry submissions, but I liked OSDALB so much I had to say yes to Maria. She shows great talent and promise. I am already eagerly looking forward to her future as an author.

If you have the time, please review these books when you’ve read them. A review is far more potent than any zany advertising campaign. It helps more readers make that important decision. To download, or not to download?

That decision is pretty easy if they’re all free. I’d grab them even if I wasn’t sure I’d read them.

But they are very rarely free. I used all my free eBook days for this promotion. So it’s going to be at least another 100 days before you get to grab them for free again.
